Product Policy

In determining whether a product is deserving of inclusion on Good Foods’ shelves, our buyers and managers will assess it for the following favored characteristics ——->

    HUMANELY RAISED/PRODUCED

    SUSTAINABLY HARVESTED

    MADE BY A CO-OP

    GMO-FREE

    FAIR TRADE

    MADE BY A SMALL PRODUCER

    OWNER/CUSTOMER REQUEST

    MINIMALLY PROCESSED

    EXCELLENT QUALITY and/or VALUE

    FREE OF TRANS FATS OR OTHER KNOWN HARMFUL INGREDIENTS

    MSC Sustainable Seafood Certification

    The more of these characteristics a product has, the more likely it will earn a spot on our shelves. Of these, LOCAL and ORGANIC shall be valued most highly. Because the above characteristics can sometimes be in conflict with one another, our buyers and managers must use their judgment in balancing consumer needs and organizational values.

    We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

    • Most items may be returned within 30 days with proof of purchase (receipt).

    • Bulk and perishable items may only be returned for quality concerns.

    • Open or consumed wellness products and prepared foods are not eligible for return.

    • Discontinued items are non-refundable.

    • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method; items under $10 will be refunded as store credit.

    • We reserve the right to decline frequent, high-volume, or unusual return requests.

    Make-It-Right Policy

    In certain situations, we may offer a one-time discount or other accommodation at our discretion to address a customer’s concern (includes quality concerns). 

  • Good Foods Co-op guarantees trees and shrubs for 30 days with proof of purchase. If a tree or shrub dies within 30 days of purchase, we will replace it. If the same item is no longer available for sale, store credit will be provided. This guarantee is for a one-time replacement only. Annuals, herbs, or vegetable starts are not eligible for replacement, refunds, or returns.
