NEW YEAR’S DAY BRUNCH. Celebrate New Year’s Day with Good Foods. We will be preparing a brunch featuring duck bennies, Chinese long noodles, smoked salmon croquettes, winter squash mash, pork loin with winter fruit compote, vegan scramble, vegan biscuits, garlic cheddar biscuits, and bourbon bread pudding.

Author and coach, Mary Claire O’Neal, will share tried and true ways to prepare your vision statement and achievable resolutions for a fulfilling 2012. You will also create your own treasure map for your resolutions and goals to make 2012 your best and most successful yet! All materials will be supplied. If you have any images that represent your resolutions or goals for 2012 that you would like to incorporate into your treasure map, please bring them!

SAMPLING SATURDAY.  Enjoy our Sampling Saturday. Meet our local producers and sample their unique products during our monthly Sampling Saturday event.

BEGINNING CROCHET. Learn chain stitch, single crochet, and how to choose yarn, needles, and supplies. We will be making a scarf with single crochet and two skeins of yarn. Class is for beginning students and students who need a refresher on how to get started. Printouts will be provided. Bring size Q, R, or S crochet hook and 2 different colors of 7 oz skeins of worsted wool or acrylic crochet yarn.

JEWELRY MAKING: WIRE WRAP JEWELRY. Not your traditional wire wrap class! Wire wrap is freestyle wire wrapping of stone, sea glass, cabochon, or any small item flat enough to wear as a pendant or earrings. Please bring 20 gauge craft wire (silver, gold, or copper), several items you wish to wire wrap, and small needle-nose wire pliers.

BETTER EATING FOR LIFE: QUICK START.  In this first class, you will discover what’s wrong with typical American foods and why they can't possibly keep a body healthy. Learn about the basics of an eating plan that, when applied, will help you start feeling better, looking better, thinking better, aging better, and controlling or preventing the many typical medical conditions facing our nation. Discover simple food and ingredient substitutions to help you eliminate highly refined foods. Take home simple recipes to get started immediately with “better eating for life.”

Finally, sample some whole grains probably new to you, and take home many recipes.
